  • Analyze and recommend in a timely manner, to the Credit Committee, the credit limits on our current and potential clients, in accordance with the levels of exposure and level of risk and payment capacity, as well as the guarantees and/or recommended structure
  • Build sensitivity scenarios and monitor the evolution of the client's situation.
  • Keep track of the economic-financial situation of our clients as well as their operating environment (industry, country, region) to send alert signals in the event of situations that could increase the risk level of our capital exposure. Consequently, in those cases that warrant it, recommend possible changes in the customer's rating and/or business strategy, subject to approval by the risk upper management team and subsequently by the Credit Committee.
  • Monitor, investigate and analyze external or internal information that allows decisions to be made regarding the management of the Institution's credit risks.
  • Be up-to-date to communicate warning signs of events that could impact the situation of our clients and their financial systems, as well as the political and economic framework of the country or region where the client exercises/receives influence, whether direct or indirect. Build stress scenarios.
  • Visit clients and multilateral organizations, as well as economists and risk rating agencies/consultants, to propose changes in the ratings or credit limits established for our clients/financial systems.
  • Prepare reports on different industries in Latin America to determine the risks and opportunities they represent and thus be able to distinguish those companies that are the institution's target.
  • Recommend to the risk upper management team the approval of a waiver to financial covenants, as well as the inclusion of safeguard clauses in credit contracts.
  • Verify that the documentary support and credit limits for the proposal are in accordance with the facility granted within the workflow application. Inform the corresponding areas of changes that require their review and/or approval.
  • Ensure that line files and reports are up to date
  • Ensure compliance with the controls of the processes it executes.

Perfil buscado (Hombre / Mujer)

  • Experience in project analysis and evaluation of industries and country economies.
  • Interpretation of financial statements and projections
  • Corporate finance, macroeconomics, capital markets, project-financing
  • Participation in Credit Committees, ability to expose and sell their ideas.
  • English language proficiency
  • Education level: Bachelor's degree in economics; Banking and finances; Business Administration.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in credit risk analysis in Banks and Corporations.
